Employees of the National Natural Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are asking for help in restoring the museum building, which was damaged due to shelling by the occupiers

As a result of the recent mass shelling of Kyiv, several cultural institutions were affected at once: the Taras Shevchenko National Museum, the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenki Museum of Art, the National Natural Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Employees of the National Science and Natural Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, located on Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street, appealed to all those who cared and would like to support, who helped to restore the damaged object built in 1911, especially since the exclusive collections and exhibits are under threat.
Museum employees and volunteers together removed the broken glass, then received OSB boards and installed temporary shields in place of the destroyed windows.
Now it’s time to make new windows and install them. On October 17, specialists completed the first stage of operational conservation of the building museum, which will allow to secure the museum collection before the installation of new windows begins.
According to UNESCO, at the beginning of this October, as a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine, 199 historical objects in 12 regions of Ukraine were damaged, including libraries, museums, monuments, historical buildings, cultural and religious objects.
