Sidoriv Castle is a defensive structure of the middle of the 17th century, an architectural monument of local importance. Located in the village of Sidoriv, about 7 kilometers south of the village of Husiatyn, Ternopil region. It was built on a high hill, washed from three sides by a river, from sandstone and limestone in the 40s of the 17th century by the gentry Marcin Kalinowski from the well-known and powerful Kalinowski family of the Kalinov coat of arms. The castle had 7 towers and a rather elongated shape from north to south. The length of the castle from south to north is 178 meters, and from west to east it is only 30 meters. The castle was badly damaged during the Turkish invasion in 1672, then restored. With the beginning of the 18th century, it lost its defensive significance, fell into decay and gradually collapsed until our times.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the castle was bought by Ignatius Peigert and, thus, Sidoriv passed into the Peigert family, to which he belonged until 1941. The poet and artist Józef Peigert had a huge library here. The last of the Peigert family did not take care of the castle and it began to fall into disrepair.
On a neighboring hill there is an abandoned baroque church in the form of the Kalinowski family coat of arms.
